iWalk - International Walk to School Week

Join the iWalk 2012 Celebration! From October 8th-12th school communities across Canada are celebrating the joys and benefits of walking to & from school.

International Walk to School Week gives children, parents, school teachers and community leaders an opportunity to be part of a global event as they celebrate the many benefits of walking. In 2011, millions of walkers from around the world walked to school together for various reasons – all hoping to create communities that are safe places to walk.

HASTe and DASH BC, along with our partners, are teaming up this year to invite your school to REGISTER for International Walk to School Week October 8th-12th, 2012. Schools across BC will be take part in International Walk to School Week (iWalk), to promote and celebrate the many benefits of walking. iWalk activities are different in every school and community. Some walks promote safety, some promote healthier habits and some conserve the environment.
