Lizzie passed away on January 14, 2024. She died at her Ruiru home. Lizzie had fought cancer for a very long time. On January 20, 2024, she laid to rest at her family’s ancestral house in Karuri. Her friends, relatives, and the general public grieved Lizzie Wanyoike Death, describing her as a great woman who had a lasting impact on Kenya’s educational system.
Regretfully, Wanyoike failed the fight against cancer and passed away on January 14, 2024. Lizzie’s age was 73. In 1972, Lizzie secured her initial position as an elementary school instructor at Nairobi’s State House Girls’ School. Lizzie got about US$140 per month.
Lizzie said that she had previously been married to Wanyoike, a man who appeared younger but was actually fifteen years older. Lizzie revealed that her older sister did not follow the traditional wedding traditions and that their age difference prevented them from becoming close.
In response to a question concerning her divorce, Lizzie Wanyoike’s husband had grown exhausted of her and said that their differences had caused them to move apart.
Lizzie realised that being an employee for another person was not what she was meant to do in 1975. They, along with her spouse and other business companions, formed the Nairobi-based Temple College of Administrative Studies. Lizzie Wanyoike Preparatory School helps a vast number of students with their education.
She served as a tutor and principal at Temple Institute of Secretarial Studies. Later, Lizzie went to the Temple administration with suggestions for growing the course offering and enrolling more students. Sadly, the administration turned her down.
She left Temple in 1999 to start NIBS, using her savings of about US$60,000 and a US$40,000 bank loan from Equity Bank Kenya Limited.
